Asparagus Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz. can asparagus (cut kind), drained
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. celery, chopped
    2 pkg. plain gelatin, dissolved in 1/2 c. cold water
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. vinegar (white)
    2 tsp. grated onion
    1/2 lemon, juiced (2 Tbsp.)
    1 medium-size pimento, chopped
Preparation
    Bring sugar, salt, vinegar and 1 cup water to a boil.
    Add softened gelatin.
    Cool.
    Add lemon juice and onion.
    Next add asparagus, celery, pimento and nuts.
    Place in individual molds or a 9 x 9-inch dish to congeal.
    Serves 9.
