Johnny Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. oleo
1 or 2 eggs
2 c. sour milk

Preparation

Cream the sugar, oleo and eggs.
Add the soda to the sour milk and then add to the first mixture.
Add dry ingredients.
Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 400\u00b0 until brown and the edges are pulled away from the pan (about 30 to 40 minutes).
