Strawberry-Pretzel Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. melted butter
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. crushed pretzels
    1 c. sugar
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 small container Cool Whip
    1 large pkg. strawberry gelatin
    2 c. boiling water
    16 oz. frozen strawberries
    Cool Whip, dollops (optional)
Preparation
    Combine butter with 3 tablespoons sugar and pretzels.
    Press onto bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes; let cool.
    Cream 1 cup sugar with cream cheese; add 1 small container Cool Whip.
    Spread over cooled pretzel mixture.
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; add frozen strawberries.
    Pour over cream cheese layer.
    Chill.
    Top with dollops of Cool Whip, if desired.
