Easy Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick margarine
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    4 c. thinly sliced potatoes
    1 small onion, sliced thin and separated into rings
    2 slices American cheese, broken into pieces (optional)
Preparation
    Butter 1 1/2-quart casserole. Layer with half of the sliced potatoes and onion.
    Sprinkle with half the flour, salt, pepper and cheese.
    Dot with half the butter.
    Repeat layers.
    Cover with milk.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for one hour or until potatoes are tender and top is browned.
    Serves 6.
