Ingredients

6 oz. cream cheese (soft)
1/2 c. margarine (soft)
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
1 tsp. peppermint extract
3 drops green food coloring
2/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. nuts (optional)
2 c. 10x sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream together cheese, margarine and sugar.
Beat in eggs. Stir together flour, powder and salt.
Stir into cream mixture. Spoon half of batter into another bowl; stir in nuts and chocolate.
Drop chocolate batter from tablespoon, checker board fashion, into greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
