Marble Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
whites of 4 eggs
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until sugar is dissolved.
Add the milk and mix well.
Add flour and baking powder.
Mix well.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture.
Pour mixture into a greased and floured 9 x 9-inch pan, keeping a small portion of batter in mixing bowl.
Drop 4 to 5 drops of red food coloring into remaining mixture.
Mix well and drop by a spoonful at a time over the mixture in the pan.
(This makes the marble effect.) Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until done.
If desired, frost with favorite frosting.
