Self Frosted (And Yummy) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2/3 c. brown sugar
    2 tsp. Karo syrup
    pecans
    white, yellow, spice or chocolate cake mix
Preparation
    Mix first three ingredients into saucepan and bring to a boil. Immediately pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Place pecans approximately where you would estimate the cake pieces will be cut.
    I just chop up the nuts and sprinkle over mixture.
    Pour prepared cake mix over the first mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or test with toothpick for doneness.
    Cool.
    Cut around outside edge and tip pan upside down on large cake plate.
    Cake is frosted.
