Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1 c. salted peanuts (no skins)
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In a 2-quart glass measuring cup, stir together white sugar and Karo syrup.
    Microwave on High for 4 minutes.
    Remove and add peanuts; stir well.
    Microwave on High for 4 minutes.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Stir well and microwave on High for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.
    Add baking soda.
    Stir gently until light and foamy. Pour mixture at once into buttered cookie sheet.
    Cool for 1/2 hour to 1 hour.
    Break into pieces.
