Pizza On Rye - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. hot sausage
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. Velveeta cheese
1 tsp. basil
2 tsp. parsley
1 tsp. oregano
2 loaves party rye bread
Preparation

In separate pans, brown meats.
Do not cook together.
Drain meats in colander, then on paper towel.
Drain completely.
Cut Velveeta in cubes; combine with meats in pan.
Melt cheese; add spices.
Blend and spread on rye bread and place in freezer on cookie sheet until set.
Broil on
lowest rack of oven until brown.
Store in Ziploc bags and use as needed.
Good for a quick snack after square dancing.
