Date Loaf Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dates
1 lb. pecans
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
2 slices candied pineapple
1 c. candied cherries
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs, beaten separately
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together, then sift this over dates, cherries, pineapple and nuts.
Add sugar and mix. Beat in yolks and fold in whites.
Cook in moderate oven about 1 hour.
Bake with cover the last 30 minutes.
