Apple Dessert Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped walnuts
4 c. diced apples

Preparation

Cream together sugar and shortening.
Add eggs.
Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture; fold in nuts and apples.
Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour. Serve with whipped cream.
