South Jersey Crumb Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. oleo
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. sour milk (or milk plus 1 Tbsp. lemon juice to make 1 cup)
1 egg
1 c. raisins or 1 c. currants (or both)
Preparation

Rub together first 3 ingredients with pastry blender.
Save out 1 cup of crumbs for topping.
To remaining crumbs, add next 7 ingredients.
Mix well.
Then add raisins (and currants if desired).
Pour batter into a greased 9-inch diameter pan. Sprinkle crumbs over top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes.
