Hamburger Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 egg
    1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
Preparation
    Mix meat, egg, bread crumbs, seasonings and half the soup mix. Shape into 4 patties and brown on both sides in oil.
    Remove meat.
    Blend flour into drippings.
    Add mushrooms and liquid plus enough water to make 2 cups (or substitute some milk, about 1/2 cup).
    Cook until thickened and smooth.
    Add mushrooms and remaining onion soup mix.
    Cook 5 minutes.
    Add meat and heat through.
