Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1 c. water
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cook sugar, syrup and water until it spins a thread. Add peanuts and cook until light brown in color. Remove from fire and fold in butter, soda, vanilla and salt. Quickly pour into buttered pan. Spread thin and allow to harden.
