Date Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dates
    2 c. milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 egg
Preparation
    Cut dates fine.
    Pour milk over them and let stand a few hours or overnight.
    Heat the date mixture and add remaining ingredients.
    Cook until thick.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    Serve with whipped cream.
