Party Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    2 c. shredded crisp lettuce
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Heat butter in large saucepan; add frozen peas.
    Cover and cook slowly until peas are just defrosted.
    Do not add water. When peas are thawed completely, add lettuce, onion and seasonings.
    Mix lightly.
    Cover tightly and steam for 4 minutes, no more!
    Yields 6 servings.
