Uncle Carroll'S Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 firm green tomatoes (more if you wish)
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. cornmeal or flour
    oil
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Wash the tomatoes and slice 1/4-inch thick.
    Dip in eggs, then dip in cornmeal or flour that has been seasoned in salt and pepper, coating both sides.
    Fry in hot oil several minutes on each side until crisp.
