Butterscotch Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. melted margarine
    1 1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chocolate bits or finely chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Preparation
    Stir by hand.
    Mix margarine and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Stir in dry ingredients.
    Add vanilla, chocolate bits or nuts (if using). Grease and flour pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes if using an 11 x 7-inch pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes if using a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cut after the brownies have been out of the oven for 2 to 3 minutes.
    Makes 18 brownies.
