Sweet And Sour Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch or 2 Tbsp. sifted flour, mixed thoroughly with 1/4 c. cold water
    3/4 c. cold water
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    1 large green pepper, cut into thin rings or strips
    1 Tbsp. soya sauce
    1/2 c. canned pineapple chunks or 3/4 c. fresh pineapple chunks lightly cooked with 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation
    In skillet, blend cornstarch with 3/4 cup cold water or blend flour mixture into 3/4 cup cold water.
    Add sugar, vinegar and black pepper.
    Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
    Add pineapple, green pepper and soya sauce.
    Heat 1 or 2 minutes more. This makes 1 1/2 cups sauce, which is sufficient for 4 to 6 servings.
    Serve with cooked shrimp, cut-up cooked chicken, or pork.
    Stir meat into the sauce until heated through.
