Fettucini Carbonara - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 slices bacon, cooked and crushed (may substitute Canadian bacon, diced)
    1 small chopped onion
    1 1/2 c. heavy cream
    1 small chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tsp. oregano
Preparation
    Cook bacon; crumble.
    Saute onion, green pepper, mushrooms, garlic and oregano.
    Beat 1 egg in cream over low heat.
    Mix all ingredients.
    Toss in 1 1/3 cups of Parmesan or Romano cheese. Serve over linguine or spaghetti.
