Festive Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large pkg. strawberry gelatin
    1 c. frozen strawberries
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 pt. sour cream
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in 1 cup hot water; add 2 cups cold water. Add strawberries and pecans and stir.
    Pour half of gelatin mixture into mold or other appropriate dish in refrigerator until congealed.
    Let remaining mixture thicken in refrigerator, but not congeal.
    Spread sour cream on congealed mixture in mold.
    Pour remaining thickened gelatin mixture over sour cream and refrigerate until firm.
