Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
    2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans asparagus spears
    1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, sliced
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 small jar pimento
    1 c. seasoned bread crumbs
Preparation
    Drain asparagus spears and water chestnuts, saving 1 1/2 cups of the combined liquids. Mix the flour and milk until smooth. Add to reserved liquid with butter, cheese and seasonings; cook on medium heat until thick and add pimento. Arrange asparagus in shallow 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Place water chestnuts over asparagus; top with sliced eggs. Pour sauce evenly over all and top with bread crumbs. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
