Butter Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. soft butter
    1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar
    6 eggs
    3 c. cake flour, sifted
    2 tsp. vanilla extract or other flavoring
Preparation
    Mix butter and sugar with beater.
    Cream well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Add flour, one cup at a time.
    Mix until smooth.
    Spoon into a 9-inch, floured tube pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Cool before turning out onto wire rack to cool.
    Makes one 9-inch tube cake.
