Chicken Biskette Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. chopped onion
1 stick soft butter
1/4 c. water or soy sauce
10 oz. chicken broth
1 c. flour
2 1/2 c. chopped, cooked chicken
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
3/4 c. noncooked quick oats oatmeal
2 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 egg white
salt, pepper and garlic to taste
Preparation

Preheat oven to 475\u00b0.
Cook onion in 2 tablespoons butter. Add water (or soy sauce), chicken broth, 1/4 cup flour, salt, pepper and garlic.
Cook approximately 3 minutes, until thickened. Add frozen vegetables and chicken.
Pour into 2-quart casserole dish.
Combine remaining flour, oatmeal and baking powder.
Cut in butter until crumbly.
Stir in milk and egg white until moist. Drop by tablespoon onto top of chicken mixture.
Bake 30 to 45 minutes until golden.
