Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick margarine
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. plain flour
2 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
5 egg whites
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream margarine and shortening; add sugar.
Beat until smooth. Add egg yolks and beat well.
Combine flour and soda.
Add to creamed mixture with buttermilk.
Add vanilla, coconut, nuts and stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour into 3 greased and floured pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until done.
Don't open oven until done, it will fall!
