Applesauce Meat Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 c. egg substitute product
1 c. Italian style soft bread crumbs
1 (8 1/2 oz.) can applesauce
2 Tbsp. onion, finely chopped
2 tsp. prepared mustard
1 c. celery, minced
dash of salt and pepper
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1/4 tsp. allspice (ground)
1/4 tsp. garlic, minced
Preparation

In a bowl, combine the egg substitute, bread crumbs, 1/2 cup applesauce, onion, 1 teaspoon mustard, celery, garlic, salt and pepper.
Add ground beef and mix well.
Shape into a round loaf in a shallow baking pan.
Add approximately 1/2 inch of water. Combine in remaining applesauce and 1 teaspoon mustard; stir in brown sugar, vinegar and allspice.
Make a depression in the top of the loaf and spoon mixture into the depression.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
