Potato Dish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    1/4 c. butter (1/2 stick)
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 c. sour cream
    1/3 c. chopped scallions or chives
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Cook potatoes in skin.
    Chill, peel and grate into a large bowl.
    Over low heat, combine 1/4 cup butter and cheese until almost melted.
    Remove from heat and blend in sour cream, onions and seasonings.
    Pour over grated potatoes.
    Stir to blend and put in casserole.
    Dot with 2 tablespoons of butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 45 minutes.
