Scalloped Potatoes With Leeks And Cream(8 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. unsalted butter
    4 c. sliced leeks
    salt and pepper
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. whipping cream
    3 large garlic cloves, minced
    4 lb. Russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
    2 c. grated white Cheddar cheese (8 oz.)
    1/3 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Melt 1/4 cup butter in heavy skillet over medium heat.
    Add leeks and stir.
    Cover and cook until leeks are tender.
    Uncover and cook until almost all liquid is absorbed.
