Ingredients

2 1/2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
6 Tbsp. milk
Preparation

Blend shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Beat in one egg at a time.
Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk.
Drop batter from tablespoon into greased muffin pans and bake about 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Remove from oven and dip in melted butter, then roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Makes 3 dozen doughnuts.
