Black Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/3 c. melted shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 c. flour
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Sift sugar, flour, cocoa, soda and salt.
    Add egg, shortening, water and vanilla.
    Beat well.
    Place in greased and floured 8-inch round pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Can be doubled.
