Old Fashioned Stack Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. molasses
2 eggs
2 2/3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 qt. dried apples
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Combine shortening, sugar, molasses and eggs; cream until light and fluffy.
Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture, blending well.
Cover and chill at least 1 hour.
Divide dough into 5 parts and pat into 5 well-greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Spread apple filling
on layers.
Stack layers.
