Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 to 4 lb. sweet potatoes
1/2 c. corn syrup (light or dark) or equal amount of each
1/4 c. butter
1 Tbsp. maple flavor or 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
1/4 c. bourbon (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Cook the sweet potatoes just long enough to be tender; peel, then cut crosswise and lengthwise to form chunks. Let cool. Put into a 2-quart casserole dish or pan; dot with butter. Mix together the corn syrup, maple flavoring and bourbon, if used; pour over potatoes. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 60 minutes. Garnish with parsley.
