Potato Fans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 baking potatoes
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. breadcrumbs
Preparation
    Scrub whole potatoes.
    Make slices, 1/8-inch wide, in potato, but do not slice through.
    (This may be done by placing potato in a large spoon and slicing down.)
    Place potatoes, cut side up, in baking dish.
    Drizzle half of shortening over potatoes.
    Sprinkle crumbs over potatoes.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes. Drizzle remaining shortening over potatoes.
    Bake 15 minutes longer, or until brown.
