Fruit Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    1 c. orange juice (may replace with favorite juice for variety)
    1/2 tsp. lemon juice
    nutmeg to taste
    artificial sweetener to taste (optional)
Preparation
    Whisk cornstarch into water, orange juice and lemon juice. Heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Add nutmeg and sweetener, if desired.
    Serve hot over whole wheat pancakes or chill and serve with fresh fruit.
    Store in refrigerator.
    Yields 4 cups.
