Sourdough Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. Sourdough Starter
    butter or margarine
Preparation
    Mix flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
    Add Sourdough Starter and stir only until moistened.
    Turn onto floured surface and knead until smooth.
    Roll or pat 1/2 inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter.
    Brush with butter and let rise in warm place about 1 hour. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 425\u00b0.
