Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cup crisco oil or butter, or 1 stick butter and 1 stick margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 oz. red food coloring
2 level tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon soda
pinch salt
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon vinegar
Preparation

Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs.
Make a paste of coloring and cocoa and add this to butter mixture.\tAdd everything except the vinegar and soda.
Beat. After beating, add vinegar and soda.
Mix well and pour into two layer pans that have been greased and floured bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
