Chess Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 box light brown sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Heat first two
    ingredients
    on
    low heat.
    Remove from heat and add other ingredients in order given.
    Put in greased and floured sheet cake pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for approximately 40 minutes.
    Cut and roll cake in powdered sugar while hot.
