Grandma'S Ginger Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    4 tsp. molasses
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 rounded tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Stir in egg and molasses.
    Mix soda and spices with sifted flour and add to the creamed shortening mixture.
    With hands, roll into 1-inch balls and then in granulated sugar.
    Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Makes about 4 dozen.
