Mississippi Mud Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1/2 c. cocoa
    3 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
    1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
    1 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs and beat.
    Sift flour, cocoa and salt.
    Add to mixture.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Pour into a greased and floured 13 1/2 x 9-inch oblong pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
