Buttermilk Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1 egg, beaten
    3 egg yolks
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. lemon extract
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pastry shell
    1/3 c. sugar
    3 egg whites
Preparation
    Sift together sugar and flour. Add one egg well beaten with the yolks of 3 eggs.
    Add fresh cultured buttermilk.
    Stir and cook until thick and creamy. Remove from fire. Add butter and lemon extract.
    Let cool slightly and pour into a baked pastry shell. Cover with meringue.
    Spread smoothly upon the pie.
    Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
