Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick oleo
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. white Karo syrup
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Combine ingredients.
    Cook slowly over low heat to form a soft ball.
    Remove from heat and beat until light consistency to spread.
