Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. apple cider
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    3 whole cloves
    1 stick cinnamon (3-inches)
    1/2 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    In medium saucepan, heat the cider with the allspice, cloves and cinnamon and cook over moderate heat for 6 minutes.
    Add the sugar.
    Bring to a boil and cook for 6 more minutes.
    Serve piping hot in small punch glasses.
