Almond Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sliced mushrooms
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. marjoram
    2 2/3 c. regular strength chicken broth
    1 c. uncooked long grain rice
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    3/4 c. chopped green onion
    3/4 c. slivered almonds
Preparation
    In large frying pan, melt butter over low heat.
    Stir in rice, mushrooms, seasonings and green onion.
    Cook, stirring, until onion and mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.
    Spoon mixture into lightly greased shallow 2-quart casserole (at this point, you may cover and chill).
    Stir in broth and almonds and bake, covered, in a 325\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
    (If chilled, allow 1 hour and 10 minutes.) Stir before serving.
    Serves 6 to 10.
