Dr. Byrd Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. cooking oil
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. diced bananas (about 2 large)
1 (8oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients into large bowl.
Make a well in center and break eggs into it.
Add oil, vanilla, bananas and last the pineapple with juice.
Stir, do not beat, until well blended (under mixing will ruin cake).
Pour batter into well greased (9 or 10-inch) tube pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for one hour and 20 minutes.
Cake will crack on top.
Set pan on rack to cool.
Run knife blade around edges of pan and turn out to cool.
