Jalapeno Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 1/3 c. corn meal
    1 well beaten egg
    2 tsp. oil or melted shortening
    1/2 c. whole kernel corn
    1/4 c. jalapeno pepper, chopped fine
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Combine buttermilk, egg and shortening.
    Mix well; add pepper and corn.
    Pour immediately into a pan that has been greased and dusted generously with corn meal and browned.
    Bake in oven at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
