Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
dash of salt
1 to 1 1/2 c. shelled peanuts or cashews
1 1/2 Tbsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Grease baking sheet heavily.
Combine sugar, corn syrup and salt in 2-quart glass container.
Stir in peanuts.
Microwave on High until light brown, usually 8 to 10 minutes, stirring once or twice with a wooden spoon.
Stir in the remaining ingredients, saving soda for last until light and foamy.
Quickly spread on baking sheet.
Spread as thinly as possible for more brittle candy.
Butter may be used to prevent this from sticking to the spoon.
Cool candy and break into pieces.
Do not touch this with fingers; it will be very hot!
