Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 scant c. white sugar
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. applesauce
    2 Tbsp. dark corn syrup
    1 c. raisins
Preparation
    Mix sugar and margarine with pastry blender.
    Beat eggs, then beat them into the sugar mixture.
    Sift together dry ingredients. Mix together applesauce and corn syrup.
    Add wet mixture to dry mixture alternately.
    Add to batter the 1 cup raisins.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
