Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. light Karo syrup
    1 c. cream
    1 c. milk
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cream, milk and butter and cook slowly to form ball at 248\u00b0.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Pour in buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Cool and then put on a board and cut into squares; wrap in wax paper.
