Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices bread
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. green pepper
    3/4 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    2 c. cooked, diced chicken
    2 slightly beaten eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 c. shredded cheese
Preparation
    Butter 2 slices of bread and cube.
    Set aside.
    Place remaining bread in bottom of casserole dish.
    Mix bread cubes with onion, celery, green pepper, salt, pepper, mayonnaise and chicken. Pour over bread slices in dish.
    Mix eggs, milk and soup together, then pour over chicken mixture.
    Chill about 1 hour. Sprinkle with cheese over soup mixture.
    Bake 1 hour in 325\u00b0 oven. Leftover turkey can be substituted for chicken.
