Ingredients

1 c. granulated sugar
2/3 c. all-purpose flour (plain)
dash of salt
8 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. evaporated milk (Carnation)
2 c. water
Preparation

Combine sugar, flour and salt in saucepan. Stir in egg yolks, milk and water. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Reduce heat and cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat. Add vanilla.
